Check the foundations
Inspect source coverage, date ranges, duplicates, currency and missing values. Define which discrepancies should stop preparation and which should be flagged.
Solutions
Turn repeated exports and manual commentary into a reporting process your team can inspect. MindVerve designs the path from approved sources to a reviewed report, with explicit checks for missing, inconsistent and outdated data.
Before discussing your reporting project, explore a fictional Google Ads and Meta reconciliation example and a worksheet for your own checks. Google Ads + Meta: why seven conversions can mean six orders
When to start
For teams preparing recurring marketing reports from accessible sources. Source access, integrations and ongoing maintenance are defined in the proposal.
Track preparation time, correction effort, source traceability and unresolved discrepancies over equivalent reporting cycles. Faster production only helps when readers can trust the report.
Inspect source coverage, date ranges, duplicates, currency and missing values. Define which discrepancies should stop preparation and which should be flagged.
Specify collection, reconciliation and draft commentary. Keep calculated results traceable to their sources and distinguish observed changes from possible explanations.
Test a representative cycle, including an incomplete input. Give the reviewer a clear exception list and define approval before distribution.

Put one clearly scoped workflow into use with your team. We configure the agreed process, test representative and failure cases, and prepare the instructions and training needed for handover.

A submitted form is not yet a qualified enquiry, and a signed agreement is not proof of payment. A useful report keeps these stages separate and lets the reviewer find the evidence behind each status.
Form capture needs a stored receipt; qualification needs a documented review. Contract signature, payment and revenue each require their own supporting records. Revenue also needs a calculation basis approved by the person responsible for finance.
In the qualified example, the review records a need within the agreed scope, an accountable owner and an agreed next step. Here, payment confirmed means a settled payment matched to the signed contract—not necessarily payment of the full contract value.
| Record | Evidence by stage | What can be concluded |
|---|---|---|
| AAwaiting review |
| Accept this as a captured enquiry only. Qualification and any later commercial outcome remain unverified. |
| BQualified enquiry |
| The recorded review supports qualification. It does not establish a signed contract, payment or revenue. |
| CPayment confirmed |
| Accept the contract and matched payment evidence. Earlier enquiry history is unavailable; keep revenue and acquisition conclusions on hold. |
Missing evidence means unknown, not zero or a lost sale. A record can appear at several stages, so adding stage counts would count the same customer relationship more than once. Do not assign an acquisition channel when the link cannot be established.
Copy this outline into your working notes before the pilot. Use descriptions and evidence references rather than customer details. Some conclusions may be accepted while others remain on hold.
For the first conversation, describe the decision and the sources already available; do not send customer files or access credentials. The proposal defines the workflow and access required. Naming a source here does not include its connector in the service.
Technical context: Google Analytics distinguishes lead creation, qualification and conversion to a customer. The last may mean contract signature, so the event label alone does not establish payment or revenue. This example is not evidence of configured or received analytics events. Three worked examples connect a marketing question to inspectable files, explicit checks and a practical decision.
These demonstrations use fictional briefs, documents and synthetic data. They are examples of method, not client results.
