The key idea
Choose a recurring task with accessible inputs, a named owner and reviewable output. Avoid starting with a workflow where an unnoticed error could cause substantial harm.

Describe the task precisely
Write down the input, expected output and person responsible. “Use AI for content” is too broad. “Draft channel variants from an approved brief for editorial review” gives the team something concrete to test.
Check readiness
Confirm that the required data is available, permitted and representative. Check access rights, source quality and exceptions. If the process is inconsistent before automation, standardise the relevant steps first.
Define success before selecting tools
Choose measures for time, correctness and usability. Record an acceptable error threshold and the point at which a person must intervene. A simple comparison of tools is only useful after these criteria are clear.
Design a reversible test
Keep the pilot away from uncontrolled publishing or customer decisions. Test difficult inputs, collect reviewer feedback and document failure modes. Expand only when the owner can explain the result and operate the process reliably.
Demos
A synthetic CSV covers four campaigns across two periods. The question: does improving overall return hide a problem?
